Disconnect the battery, gain access from the right-hand side near the trans bell housing, unplug the connector, remove the retaining bolt, and ease the sensor out. Lightly oil the O-ring on the new unit, seat it squarely, refit the bolt, and route the loom exactly as it was. Clear the codes, then take a short drive cycle so the ECU can verify a clean signal. Use a quality OEM-equivalent sensor to avoid false triggers and intermittent faults. Most workshops will sort it in under an hour, and it’s far cheaper than chasing misfires that aren’t really there.
