Important notes when fitting windscreen wiper blades to your vehicle

In many cases wiper blades these days come as a complete head assembly, so it is no longer a case of buying a generic windscreen wiper refill and cutting to suit. This means you will be choosing a wiper blade specific to the driver side, passenger side or rear window of your vehicle.

• In the case of changing the wiper blade assembly ensure you have all associated adaptors to enable correct and easy fitment. These adaptors are usually a click or press fit connection so you may have to be careful not to break or damage these clips when removing or refitting.
• Once the old windscreen wiper blade assembly is removed then visually verify that your new wiper blade has the same length, adaptor and design as the one you are replacing
• Clip the new windscreen wiper assembly into place and then slide off the protective blade cover if one is present.
• From there, ensure the wiper blade assembly is firmly attached to the wiper arm and slowly lower onto the car windscreen to avoid damage to the windscreen or wiper blade
• Lastly, it pays to top up your windscreen washer reservoir with water and a quality windscreen additive to provide additional windscreen cleaning power and increased lubricity for your wiper blades.
