Suspension Kits

If simply replacing factory parts the cost saving of buying the lot will usually be cheaper than buying the pieces individually. You are then aware of the pieces you need to change or upgrade and you can rebuild the suspension while the motor is being reconditioned or the vehicle is getting bodywork done. It will also drive like a new car once you have restored the suspension.

You get it all in one go so the only hold up in the project is you not fitting/installing it.

Suspension works as a team. Putting in one better player does not necessarily improve performance. When you put in a team of better players the results are worth it. The suspension kit is engineered with this in mind. It usually encompasses the front and rear of the vehicle, is designed and engineered for a particular vehicle and tested.

On track - Improved spring rates with shock absorbers designed for that rate. Sway bars that provide extra stiffness to restrict body roll and harder bushes as road feel is more important than comfort.

Off road - Springs with greater travel and shock absorbers to match. Strengthened components and bushings that are more durable and can absorb bumps and jolts.

Cost is another factor. There is usually a discount with buying it all in one go when compared to buying it in stages. When not stock the kits components are usually brightly coloured and stand out against the basic black underbody.
