Engine Oil Maintenance for Your 1989 Mitsubishi Pajero

Typically, it's a good idea to change the engine oil every 5,000 to 7,500 kilometres, depending on usage patterns and the type of oil used. Tighten it by hand, then slightly more with the wrench without over-tightening.
Once the old oil is fully drained, replace the drain plug securely. Now, pour new oil into the engine. Be sure not to overfill, check the dipstick to ensure the oil level is correct. After you're done, run the engine for a couple of minutes and then check again for any leaks around the drain plug and filter area.
