• Inspect wiring and connectors at the throttle body/actuator and the pedal for moisture, corrosion or chafing.
• If soot build-up is suspected, have the intake throttle/EGR area assessed and cleaned with diesel-safe methods. Don’t force the throttle plate by hand.

Common symptoms of trouble include a lazy throttle, limp mode, unstable idle after hot restarts, poor fuel economy, or a check engine light. If diagnostics confirm a faulty sensor, the fix on a 2024 Triton is typically to replace the complete throttle actuator (which includes the position sensor) or the entire accelerator pedal assembly.
