After refitting, clear any charging DTCs and perform a BMS reset with a suitable scan tool (Ford IDS/FDRS or equivalent). Skipping the BMS reset can lead to weird charge rates or a battery light after a few drives. And never test by disconnecting the battery with the engine running — that old trick can spike sensitive electronics.
