2013 Nissan Dualis temperature sensors — what they do and how to look after them

- MAF/IAT clean with proper MAF cleaner (never use brake cleaner).
- For CVT services, confirm fluid temp with a scan tool before level setting.
Replacement is usually straightforward for the ECT: let the engine cool, relieve pressure, swap the sensor with a new O‑ring, then top up and bleed the cooling system. The ambient sensor sits behind the front bumper and is a quick swap once accessed. The CVT temp sensor lives inside the transmission and is best handled during a pan‑off service by a transmission specialist. Stick with genuine or quality OEM parts — they talk nicely to the Nissan ECM/TCM and hold their calibration longer.
