2013 Ford Escape headlights: purpose, care, and replacement
Headlights are absolutely fitted and relevant on the 2013 Ford Escape. This is confirmed by the Ford Owner’s Manual and Ford Workshop Manual (Section 417-01 Exterior Lighting), as well as regulatory requirements like FMVSS 108 (US), ADR 13/00 and ADR 46/00 (AU), and the NZ Land Transport Rule: Vehicle Lighting 2004. The Escape shipped with factory halogen headlamps in most trims, with market-dependent options and daytime running light variations.
On a 2013 Ford Escape, the headlights do the heavy lifting for night-time and low-visibility driving, projecting a clear, correctly aimed beam to help the driver see and be seen. Good headlights reduce fatigue, sharpen contrast on wet bitumen, and keep the vehicle compliant for rego and WOF checks.
