Don’t cable-tie the loom hard against the block, the sensor needs a clear path for true engine noise, not extra rattles from the harness. After replacement, clear codes and perform a proper road test with a few steady-load pulls so the PCM can relearn knock adaptives.

Good fuel quality (95 RON or better on performance variants), healthy cooling, and no vacuum or exhaust leaks all help the knock control system do its best work. If in doubt, a scan tool that shows knock retard and live timing is gold for confirming the fix.
