Worth noting: some later, OBD‑II‑era Mitsubishi petrol engines added a small manifold pressure or differential pressure sensor for EGR diagnostics or as a backup input, but that’s not typical on 1993 Pajeros.
So if someone’s chasing rough running or poor economy on a ’93 petrol Pajero, the smarter checks are the MAF sensor condition and connector, vacuum leaks, ignition tune (plugs/leads), and base idle learn.
