Many Jimnys of this era were sold without A/C as standard, but when factory or dealer air-con was fitted, a front-mounted condenser forms a core part of the system.
For a 1991 Jimny with A/C, the condenser is the slim heat exchanger mounted in front of the radiator. It takes hot, high-pressure refrigerant vapour from the compressor and sheds heat to the outside air, condensing it into a high-pressure liquid before it heads to the receiver–drier and expansion device.
