When you hear the name Milwaukee, you probably think about their range of super tough power tools first and foremost, but they actually offer a variety of different products that serve many specific niches for DIYers and professionals.

While it’s important to have the right drill or impact wrench for the job, it can be just as important to have a durable flood light or comfortable boots to work in —all these things make your job easier and help you to work more efficiently.

So, if you’re looking to make your workplace or home garage run smoother or you just want to be kitted out in the latest Milwaukee gear, check out some of their products that compliment their stellar range of power tools and equipment:

There are times when you’ll find yourself rolling around on sodden dirt or the uneven surface of your driveway to get to your exhaust or starter and the cold air makes the job feel twice as hard as it should be; even the cold concrete of your garage can start to feel like a massive hurdle in the winter.

It can often be enough to just wrap up in your oil-stained hoodie and get to work but most people would admit to wanting a bit more comfort. The Milwaukee M12 AXIS Heated Jacket has your back — and your front — with a compressible design for layering and carbon fibre heating elements that will keep continuous heat on your chest, back, and shoulders while you work.

For anyone working in frigid temperatures, this jacket will keep you insulated and dry, as well as handling sharp edges without tearing thanks to Milwaukee’s tough Ripstop construction.

You can get up to 8 hours of run time on the lower settings and can expect around 2 hours of runtime if you blast all three zones with maximum heat. You can also shift the battery around while you work so it’s not jamming into your kidneys or spin when you’re bending down to grab tools or lying on your back messing with your suspension.

This jacket is a great accessory to have if you work in colder climates, as well as a great all-season jacket if you don’t need the heating elements. Milwaukee also offer vests, hoodies, and other heated gear that come in various colours, giving you loads of options to keep warm on the jobsite or under your car.

Keeping a worksite clean is one of the best things you can do to create an organised environment and minimise contaminants. Metal shavings, sawdust, and workplace spills are easy to handle with the cyclonic technology powering the Milwaukee M18.

This vacuum cleaner also comes with standard accessories like an extension wand for extra reach, a crevice tool that’ll get concrete dust out of cracks, and a flexible hose for precise cleaning.

Basically, this vacuum is great for all the spills and thrills of the jobsite, with a backpack design that makes it fully portable and Milwaukee’s M18 REDLITHIUM-ION battery allowing it to keep powering along throughout the workday.

The large diameter hose allows you to suck up large debris and the bagless design makes emptying a simple process.

Whether you’re a plasterer dealing with fine dust or just want a powerful home vacuum cleaner, Milwaukee have built a quality machine that’ll give you long-lasting power and durability.

We’d be remiss if we didn’t talk about ways to get the most out of your Milwaukee power tools and there’s nothing more important for a cordless tool than a solid battery.

Compact Batteries

Milwaukee has a large range of different batteries to compliment their line of tools, starting with the compact 1.5ah batteries that are great for DIYers doing a bit of light drilling and electric screwdriving.

A notch up from that is the M18 2.0 Ah RedLithium CP2.0, which will give you a similar compact design as the 1.5ah but with a boost from 27 watt-hours to 36wh and only a slight increase in weight. These batteries are great for impact drivers and drills and have a great power to weight ratio for a decent price.

2P Batteries

Once you move into 2P batteries you’ll want to pick up the 5.0ah RedLithium, which will give you a boost of 25% over the 4.0 and manages to maintain a similar weight thanks to the lithium-ion cell technology it boasts. It’ll also work with most M18 Fuel products, making it the battery of choice for a ton of tradies and DIYers.

High Output Batteries

For serious tools you’ll want to use Milwaukee’s range of High Output batteries. The 6 amp is fantastic for bigger tools that need the extra power boost, though its bulkier nature means that the 5ah is still the better option for impact drivers and smaller tools that might suffer from the 6 amp’s battery getting in the way.

If you’re doing some serious work with rotary hammers or heavier impact wrenches then you’ll want to move up to the 8-, 9-, or 12-amp batteries that offer higher watt hours and longer sustained work times for M18 tools.

Milwaukee M18 Jobsite Radio/Charger

A radio is a must-have on any jobsite and with cordless tools becoming more viable for so many different jobs, you’re also in constant need of a charge. The M18 Jobsite Radio/Charger does the work of both. It’ll play your favourite tunes from over 30m away using wireless technology and you can charge phones and other devices via the USB port — you can also charge M18 batteries by attaching a charging station.

What’s great about the Milwaukee M18 Jobsite Radio is that unlike a lot of other radios, it doesn’t suffer from interference when it’s charging a device, and the sound quality remains crisp. There’s a customisable equaliser and a 10-station preset for listening to the radio, but you can stream music straight from your smartphone as well.

A high-capacity pack can run the unit for an entire day or, if you have a power outlet nearby, you can simply plug it in and not worry about the battery.

It's also built tough, with a reinforced roll-cage and metal handles that can take a bit of a beating on rough jobsites.

Another nice little bonus is the weather-sealed storage compartment that’s built into the radio, allowing you to keep small items like smartphones or charge cables tucked away safely.

There’s also a built-in bottle opener to help with the most important part of work —knockoffs.

Impact Socket Sets

Perhaps the most important accessory you need for impact tools is impact sockets. Trying to slap a standard power tool socket onto the end of your impact wrench can be extremely dangerous, leading to shattering of the socket and shrapnel flying from the tool and across your workshop.

You also need to make sure you’re buying the correct sockets for your tool, with 3/4in impact tools needing sockets that are optimised for them and Milwaukee brand socket sets being built specifically for their tools.

Milwaukee’s sockets have stamped and ink filled diameter markings for wear resistance, a 6-point design that’s constructed with forged impact steel for incredible durability, and a non-slip hex geometry that helps to prevent socket and fastener rounding.

These sockets are built to withstand the constant high-torque power that Milwaukee tools output and are a necessity when working with impact tools.
