Below are just some of the tape varieties we carry to help.
Cloth Tape
Cloth tape, often referred to as gaffer tape, is a durable adhesive tape with a fabric backing. It is widely used in industries like theatre, film, and event production due to its ability to hold firmly while being easy to tear by hand. Its matte finish makes it ideal for applications where reducing glare is important, such as securing cables on stage. Cloth tape is also water-resistant, making it suitable for temporary outdoor use.
Duct Tape
Duct tape is a versatile, heavy-duty tape known for its strong adhesive properties and waterproof backing. It is commonly used for quick repairs, sealing, and binding. While it shares some similarities with cloth tape, duct tape has a shinier surface and is less flexible. It is a popular choice for DIY projects, as it adheres well to a variety of surfaces, including metal, plastic, and wood. However, it can leave a sticky residue when removed.
Thread Tape
Thread tape, also known as plumber’s tape or PTFE tape, is a non-adhesive tape designed for sealing threaded pipe connections. It is made of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), which provides a watertight seal and prevents leaks. Thread tape is commonly used in plumbing and gas fittings, as it helps ensure a tight connection while reducing friction during assembly. It is easy to apply and available in different grades for specific applications.
Double-Sided Tape
Double-sided tape has adhesive on both sides, making it ideal for bonding materials together without visible tape. It is commonly used in crafting, mounting, and temporary fixes. Depending on the type, it can range from thin and transparent to thick and foam-based for extra cushioning. Double-sided tape is best suited for lightweight materials, as it may not hold well under heavy loads or in extreme conditions.
