Parker - Starts with Air Con Parts
Parker Automotive supply vehicle air conditioning components though this is only one small part of a global corporation that is in many countries and covers a range of industrial products. We only have some TX valves, receiver driers and accumulators. They supply products for 18 technologies including aerospace, filtration, fluid & gas handling, electronics, hydraulics and instrumentation. As you can see, it is quite a large and diverse range of topics.
Parker air conditioning products are of a high build quality which gives them good durability. Well-engineered they will give a good account of themselves in the rigours of everyday driving and keep your cars cabin at a comfortable temperature.
TX Valves
TX (Thermatic Expansion) valves control the flow of liquid refrigerant into the evaporator. The evaporator is like a radiator and sits in the ventilation system inside the car behind the dashboard. Incoming air passing through it is chilled. The valve monitors the outlet pressure and temperature of the evaporator and reduces or increases refrigerant flow as required.
Receiver Driers
These units act as filters for the air conditioning system. They filter out vapour, moisture and any contaminants and only let clean refrigerant liquid reach the TX valve. They reside on the high pressure side of the system between the condenser and TX valve.
Accumulators
They perform a similar function to the receiver drier. You will only find a receiver drier or an accumulator in an air conditioning system. Not both of them together. Accumulators sit on the low-pressure side of the system between the evaporator and compressor. Like a receiver drier they filter out moisture and contaminants, but they pass vapour and trap refrigerant instead.
Next time you have an air conditioning issue, consider Parker replacement parts to keep you cool.
