FAG - OEM Quality Wheel Bearings

FAG wheel bearings by Schaeffler are made to an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) or higher standard. Making more than just wheel bearings they also have a range of steering and suspension parts, drive shaft and strut components, clutches, cooling and engine parts. Wheel Bearings Vital Role

Wheel bearings play a vital role in keeping your wheels rotating freely. They are built tough to withstand shock loads from hitting bumps and g force stresses when cornering. This plus being heat tolerant as a lot of them are near the brake rotors which generate a lot of heat. They need to be sealed to stop moisture, dust and road grime getting in causing premature wear.

If installed correctly, this gives the bearings a long service life so you can be assured that you will not need to replace them on a regular basis. The new bearing should last as long or longer than the original factory fitted unit.

Wheel bearings do need to be checked every so often as being a rotating part they will eventually wear out. They normally give warning signs like being noisy or giving off a vibration. It will usually be from one side of the car and it is advisable to get it checked as soon as you can. The reason being if the wheel bearing collapses, it can cause the loss of the associated wheel or control of the vehicle.
