Shield-Cor X11 Gasless Wire is an all-positional, self-shielded flux-cored wire developed for the general-purpose welding of mild and galvanised steels. Suitable for both single and multi-pass lap, fillet and butt welds, it meets AWS A5.20: E71T-11 classification requirements, making it a dependable choice for fabrication and repair work.

Designed for use with DC electrode negative (DCEN) polarity, Shield-Cor X11 produces a smooth, stable arc with low spatter and a full, easy-to-remove slag. Its soft arc transfer improves tolerance to joint misalignment and poor fit-up, helping operators achieve consistent results. Excellent fillet shape and strong edge wetting are achieved, particularly when welding galvanised steel.

Once set to the correct current and voltage, this wire can be used confidently in all welding positions, including vertical-up, vertical-down and overhead, offering versatility across a wide range of workshop and on-site applications.
