What Is Soldering

Soldering, is a process in which two or more items (usually metal) are joined together by melting and putting a metal filler into the joint, the solder metal having a lower melting point than the adjoining metal. Soldering differs from welding in that soldering does not involve melting the workpieces. In years gone, a lot of solder that was made contained lead, and nowadays, people are more aware due to environmental and health concerns, it has dictated that all solder is now lead-free.

Soldering Iron

Soldering involves a material called solder that melts when placed on a hot object, the melted solder cools and forms a bond between two items. Your most basic soldering tool is a soldering iron and combined with a soldering station, it allows you to get the job done in a safe manner.

Blow Torches

A blowtorch is a fuel-burning tool used for applying flame and heat to various applications, usually metalworking. Early blowtorches used liquid fuel, carried in a refillable reservoir attached to the lamp. Modern blowtorches are mostly gas-fuelled. Their fuel reservoir is disposable or refillable by an exchange.
