The thermostat is a critical component in your vehicles cooling system. It regulates the flow of coolant at different temperatures by restricting coolant flow to the radiator to allow your engine to warm up sooner.
A failed thermostat that is stuck in the open position will result in your vehicles engine taking significantly longer to warm up. It will also reduce the effectiveness of your vehicles interior heating system.
If the thermostat is stuck in the closed position it can cause your vehicles engine to overheat.
