Ryco Oil Filter Cap
Designed for engines that use a cartridge oil filter, the oil filter cap will screw into a metal or alloy filter housing to hold your cartridge filter in place. In most replacement cartridge oil filters there will also contain a rubber or neoprene seal that is to replace the existing seal on the oil filter cap. By replacing this seal along with your cartridge oil filter you will enable a tight seal as you screw the filter cap back into the housing.
Failure to replace this filter cap seal may result in oil leaking from the housing or cap to cause mess and potential fire hazards. It is also important to note that each oil filter cap has a specific torque setting when tightening. Too loose and you may experience oil leaks, whilst too tight and you risk snapping the filter cap, moulded nut on top or alloy filter housing. Any of these occurences will incur further cost and time to remove and replace.

Know How
Ryco’s design philosophy is to meet or exceed original equipment, they deliver genuine performance with efficiency, life and flow. The efficiency - with how much dirt, grit and sludge the filter can remove. The life - how long a filter lasts before being too clogged up, and the flow for how easily the air, oil and fuel can flow through the filters. The Ryco range available at Repco consists of Oil Filters, Air filters, Fuel and cabin filters as well as the range of Fuel water separators, Catch cans, service kits, filter removal tools and other accessories.
So what makes a good oil filter? All oil filters aren't created equal. A poor quality oil filter may temporarily save you a dollar or two, but can cause thousands of dollars of engine damage.
