2019 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross headlights: purpose, care and servicing
Headlights are absolutely fitted to the 2019 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross. Mitsubishi’s owner’s manual and AU/NZ spec sheets list halogen projector headlights with LED daytime running lights on most trims, with LED headlights available on higher variants, plus features like auto on/off and, on some models, auto high beam. So yes—headlights are relevant, required and standard equipment.
On the road, the Eclipse Cross’s headlights do the heavy lifting after dark and in poor weather—projecting a safe, controlled beam so the driver can see hazards early and be seen by others. In AU/NZ conditions, that means better visibility on rural highways, in wet weather, and through dawn/dusk glare. Correctly aimed and maintained lights reduce driver fatigue and help the vehicle meet ADR and WOF requirements.
As part of regular servicing, it’s smart to give the headlights a quick once-over. Lenses are polycarbonate and can haze over time
