2015 Toyota bB Tail-lights: Purpose, Care and When to Replace
Tail-lights are absolutely fitted to the 2015 Toyota bB. This is confirmed by Toyota’s service literature for the QNC20–QNC21 series (Lighting System in the Electrical Wiring Diagram and the Owner’s Manual light-bulb replacement section), as well as regulatory requirements such as UN ECE Regulation No. 7, the Australian Design Rule for lighting installation (ADR 13/00), and the New Zealand Land Transport Rule: Vehicle Lighting. All of these specify rear position (tail) lamps for on-road vehicles, so the bB isn’t an exception.
On a 2015 Toyota bB, the tail-lights make the vehicle visible from behind at night and in low-visibility conditions, and usually share a housing with brake, indicator, and reverse lamps. Depending on trim and market, the bB may use conventional dual-filament bulbs or an LED tail/stop assembly. Either way, they’re vital for safety and roadworthiness.
For everyday care, drivers should give the lenses a quick clean during a wash to keep the red light bright and even. A cloudy or cracked lens lets in moisture, which can corrode bulb contacts or damage LEDs. If moisture is present, the lamp’s seal or gasket likely needs attention.
When a bulb-equipped bB shows a dim or dead tail lamp, it’s often just a blown filament or a poor earth. Replace bulbs with the exact type and wattage specified in the Toyota owner’s manual
