2015 Honda Odyssey suspension bushes: what they do and when to replace them

Suspension bushes are absolutely fitted to the 2015 Honda Odyssey. Technical sources, including the Honda Service Manual for this model range (suspension section) and the Honda Genuine Parts catalogue, list multiple bushes such as front lower control arm bushes, rear trailing arm bushes and stabiliser bar (sway bar) D‑bushes. Aftermarket catalogues for the 2015 Odyssey also specify replacement bushes, confirming they’re a normal wear item on this vehicle.

On the Odyssey, suspension bushes are the rubber or elastomer mounts that locate arms and bars while absorbing vibration. They let the suspension pivot smoothly, keep alignment steady under braking and cornering and cut down on noise, vibration and harshness in the cabin. When healthy, they help the van track straight, protect tyres from scrub and make the steering feel settled and predictable.

Like all rubber components, bushes age with kilometres, heat, road grime and UV. By 80,000–150,000 km (often earlier on rough roads), they can crack, soften or separate from their sleeves. That shows up as vague steering, clunks over bumps, instability under brakes and inside-edge tyre wear. Because the Odyssey carries families and gear, worn bushes can be more noticeable when the vehicle is loaded.

  • Common symptoms: clunking over speed humps, shimmy through the wheel, wandering on the motorway, uneven tyre wear, and visible splits in the bush rubber.
  • Service tips: inspect bushes at every service or WOF/roadworthy
