2015 Ford Territory clutch-kit — is it even a thing?

For the 2015 Ford Territory (SZ MkII), a clutch-kit isn’t relevant. Every 2015 Territory variant — petrol or diesel, rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive — left the factory with a 6‑speed automatic transmission, not a manual. Automatics use a torque converter and internal clutch packs inside the transmission, so there’s no conventional clutch pressure plate, friction disc or release bearing to replace as a “clutch kit”.

Technical sources that confirm the automatic‑only setup include:

  • Ford Territory SZ MkII Specifications and Owner’s Manual (Ford Australia, MY2014–MY2016)
  • RedBook model data for 2015 Ford Territory TX, TS and Titanium (all listed as 6‑speed automatic only)
  • Ford workshop/service information and ZF transmission literature identifying the 6‑speed automatic used in Territory (no manual option)
  • Contemporary Australian road tests and buyer guides noting automatic‑only availability

That’s why a clutch-kit isn’t used on this model: there’s no clutch pedal, no flywheel-mounted friction disc and no pressure plate. Instead, drive take‑up is handled by a torque converter, and gear changes are managed by the transmission’s hydraulics and internal multi‑plate clutch packs. Those internal clutches aren’t serviced like a manual clutch
