Parts for your 2014 Holden Barina-Headlights
2014 Holden Barina headlights
Headlights are absolutely fitted to the 2014 Holden Barina (TM-series). According to the Holden Barina TM Owner’s Handbook (MY14) and GM Service Information for TM models, the vehicle leaves the factory with halogen headlamps and is designed to meet Australian Design Rules (ADR 13/00) for road lighting. Most AU/NZ TM models use separate bulbs for low and high beam—typically H11 for low beam and HB3/9005 for high beam—though some variants may use a combined H4 bulb. Always confirm by checking the handbook or the lamp markings.
On a Barina, the headlights do the heavy lifting for safe night driving: they light the road ahead, make the car visible to others, and provide a clean cut-off to avoid dazzling oncoming traffic. They’re also a legal requirement for roadworthiness and rego, so keeping them bright and correctly aimed is part of responsible ownership.
When it’s time for servicing, it’s worth giving the lights a proper once-over. Dull or yellowed lenses, a patchy beam pattern, or a bulb that takes on a grey film are all signs it’s time to act. Replace bulbs in pairs so the colour and brightness match, and stick with quality parts that meet ADR standards. If visibility still feels average after new bulbs, the lens may need a clean or a professional restore to clear oxidation.
- Check headlight operation and beam aim at every service or roughly every 10,000–15,000 km.
