2014 Daihatsu Bego wheel hubs — what they do and when to service or replace them

Based on factory literature and parts listings, wheel hubs are absolutely used on the 2014 Daihatsu Bego (J200/J210 series, also known as Toyota Rush/Terios). The Toyota/Daihatsu workshop manuals and the Toyota Electronic Parts Catalogue list a front “axle hub sub-assembly” and rear hub/bearing components for this platform, and aftermarket catalogues from bearing suppliers (e.g., NTN/SNR) and Australasia-based parts databases also carry front hub/bearing units for 2006–2016 Terios/Rush/Bego. So the wheel hub is a relevant, fitted component on this model.

On a 2014 Bego, the wheel hub’s job is to locate and support the wheel and tyre, house the sealed bearing, provide the mounting face for the brake disc/drum, and, on driven wheels, transmit torque via the CV or axle shaft. The hub assembly also carries the ABS tone ring interface for the wheel speed sensor. This model doesn’t use manual locking hubs
