2013 Toyota Wish temperature sensors

Technical sources from Toyota’s service literature for the ZGE20/25 series Wish (with 2ZR‑FAE and 3ZR‑FAE engines), the Toyota New Car Features guide, and the Toyota Electronic Parts Catalogue confirm that the 2013 Toyota Wish does use several temperature sensors. These include the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor, intake air temperature (IAT) sensing (typically built into the mass air flow sensor), ambient air temperature for the A/C and display, evaporator temperature sensing, and an internal transmission/CVT fluid temperature sensor. So temperature sensors are absolutely relevant on this model.

On this Wish, temperature sensors help the engine computer and climate system make the right calls all day, every day. The ECT sensor tells the ECU how warm the engine is so it can sort fuelling, ignition timing, idle speed, cooling‑fan operation and the dash gauge. IAT helps dial in mixture and throttle response. The ambient and evaporator sensors let the A/C behave properly in Aussie and Kiwi conditions. The CVT’s fluid temperature sensor informs shift strategy and protects the transmission when things get hot.

There’s no fixed replacement interval for these sensors
