2013 Nissan Pathfinder tail-lights
Tail-lights are absolutely fitted to the 2013 Nissan Pathfinder (R52). This is confirmed in Nissan’s 2013 Pathfinder Owner’s Manual and the Nissan Electronic/Factory Service Manual (Lighting “LT” section), which spell out the rear combination lamp functions. They’re also a legal requirement under Australian Design Rules (ADR 13/00 and ADR 49/00) for rear position lamps on road-registered vehicles, so they’re relevant to every AU/NZ–delivered Pathfinder.
On the 2013 Pathfinder, the rear combination lamps house the tail (rear position) lights, brake lights, indicators, reverse lamps, and reflectors, with an LED high-mount stop lamp on the tailgate. Some AU/NZ models may also include a rear fog lamp. The purpose of the tail-lights is simple but critical: make the vehicle visible from behind at night and in poor weather, communicate braking and turning, and keep the car compliant and roadworthy.
As part of routine servicing, it’s smart to give the tail-lights a quick once-over. Check for blown bulbs, cracked lenses, faded reflectors, and any moisture or condensation inside the housings.
