2012 Ford Escape batteries — purpose, care, and when to replace
Based on the Ford Owner’s Guide for the 2012 Escape, the Ford Workshop Manual (WSM) Section 414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables, and Motorcraft’s battery application data, the 2012 Ford Escape is fitted with a 12‑volt battery as standard. The 2012 Escape Hybrid also carries a high‑voltage (HV) nickel‑metal hydride traction battery in addition to a 12‑volt auxiliary battery. Batteries are therefore absolutely relevant to this model line.
