2010 Toyota Mark X MAP sensor — what it does and when to replace it

Based on Toyota technical literature, the 2010 Toyota Mark X (GRX13# series) is fitted with a manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor. The Toyota Mark X (GRX13#) Repair Manual for the SFI system details a “Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor” and the 2010 Electrical Wiring Diagram shows the MAP signal (labelled PIM) feeding the ECM.
