Parts for your 2007 Toyota Hilux-Wheel hubs

2007 Toyota Hilux wheel hubs: what they do and how to look after them

Wheel hubs are absolutely fitted to the 2007 Toyota Hilux. Toyota’s factory repair information for the N70-series Hilux (2005–2015), the Toyota Electronic Parts Catalogue, and well-regarded aftermarket manuals all show front and rear wheel hub assemblies for both 2WD and 4WD variants. On most Aussie and Kiwi 4x4 models, the front end uses an ADD (Automatic Disconnecting Differential) with fixed drive flanges rather than manual free-wheeling hubs, but the wheel hub and bearing assemblies themselves are very much part of the ute.

On a 2007 Hilux, the wheel hub’s job is to support the vehicle’s weight, provide the mounting face for the brake disc or drum and the wheel, and let the wheel spin smoothly on the bearing. Up front, the CV shaft passes through the hub on 4x4 models, and many hubs carry the ABS tone ring/sensor interface. In short, the hub-bearing combo is the hardworking bit that keeps the wheels turning straight and true, whether it’s school runs or corrugations in the High Country.

Service-wise, the front hub uses a press-fit, unitised bearing that isn’t adjustable or re-greasable
