2007 Ford Mondeo headlights — purpose, care and replacement
Headlights are absolutely fitted and relevant on the 2007 Ford Mondeo. This is supported by the Ford Mondeo Owner’s Manual (lighting section), Ford Workshop/ETIS service procedures for headlamps, and the legal lighting standards that applied when new, including ADR 13/00 and ECE R48 for Australia, plus New Zealand’s Land Transport Rule: Vehicle Lighting 2004. All stipulate mandatory dipped and main-beam headlamps.
On a 2007 Mondeo, the headlights do the heavy lifting after dark and in poor weather — making the road, signage and hazards clear while ensuring oncoming drivers aren’t dazzled. Most cars of this model year run halogen units with H7 bulbs for low beam and H1 for high beam. Higher-spec variants may have factory xenon HID projectors (commonly D1S) with automatic levelling and washers.
