2004 Toyota Caldina Headlights
Based on technical sources including the Toyota Caldina owner’s and repair manuals for the T240 series (2002–2007), Australian Design Rules (ADR 13/00 for lighting installation), and Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency WOF guidance, the 2004 Toyota Caldina is fitted with front headlights as standard equipment. Headlights are therefore fully relevant to this model.
For the 2004 Caldina, the headlights are there to do a simple but vital job: light the road ahead and make the vehicle clearly visible to others, day or night, rain or shine. Many Caldina variants use halogen headlamps, while some higher trims may feature HID units with auto-levelling. Either way, clean lenses, correct beam aim, and healthy bulbs are crucial for safe driving and for passing WOF or roadworthy checks.
As part of regular servicing, it’s smart to give the headlights a quick once-over. Look for cloudy or yellowed lenses, moisture inside the housing, flickering or dim beams, and chips or cracks. Aiming should be checked after suspension work, front-end repairs, or if other drivers flash their lights at night.
- Bulb replacement: Always confirm the exact bulb type in the owner’s manual or by checking the lamp cap. Avoid touching the glass on halogen bulbs
