2003 Toyota Prius wheel hubs — what they do and how to look after them

Wheel hubs are absolutely used on the 2003 Toyota Prius (NHW11). Both front and rear corners are hub-based: the fronts use a hub with a press-fit bearing in the steering knuckle, and the rears use a bolt-on hub and bearing assembly with the wheel studs and ABS tone ring built in.
