2003 Daihatsu YRV Headlights: Purpose, Care, and Replacement
Headlights are absolutely fitted to the 2003 Daihatsu YRV. This is supported by Daihatsu’s own service information and the YRV owner’s manual lighting section, as well as road-legal requirements such as Australia’s ADR 13/00 (installation of lighting) and ADR 46/00 (headlamps), and New Zealand’s Land Transport Rule: Vehicle Lighting 2004. Most YRV models of this era use H4 12V 60/55W halogen bulbs for combined low/high beam in each headlamp unit.
The YRV’s headlights are there to keep night driving and low-visibility travel safe, helping the driver see the road, hazards, and signage, and making the vehicle visible to others.
