Parts for your 2000 Nissan Bluebird-Pedal pads

2000 Nissan Bluebird pedal pads — purpose, care and when to replace

Pedal pads are absolutely used on the 2000 Nissan Bluebird. Technical references including the Nissan Bluebird U14 Service Manual (Brake and Clutch sections, 1999–2001) and the Nissan FAST Electronic Parts Catalogue for U14/G10 confirm that the brake pedal (and the clutch pedal on manuals) have replaceable rubber pads. The accelerator on most trims is a moulded plastic tread and usually doesn’t have a separate rubber pad.

On this Bluebird, the pedal pads provide a grippy, compliant surface so shoes don’t slip when braking or changing gears. Over time, the rubber hardens, polishes smooth, splits, or even sheds chunks. That’s when pedal feel suffers and stopping distances can blow out in the wet. Fresh pads restore traction and keep the cabin tidy as well.

As part of routine servicing, it’s smart to inspect the pads every 10,000–15,000 km or at each service. If the car is an automatic, check the brake pad
