1993 Toyota Caldina headlight bulbs: what they do and how to look after them
Headlight bulbs are absolutely relevant to the 1993 Toyota Caldina. Most 1993 Caldina grades use a single H4 halogen globe (12V, 60/55W, P43t base) per side for combined low and high beam. Some trims with separate high/low arrangements may use H1 or H3 for one of the beams. Either way, the vehicle definitely relies on replaceable headlight bulbs (globes) for forward lighting.
On a ’93 Caldina, the headlight bulbs provide safe visibility at night and in poor weather, and they’re essential for WOF/roadworthy compliance in NZ and Australia. - Release the spring clip, remove the old globe, and note the tab orientation.
- Install the new globe without touching the glass (use clean gloves)
