When you’re building an engine, those first few turns can make or break your hard work. Penrite Cam Assembly Lube is a sticky, high-film-strength paste that clings to parts and gives your vehicle crucial protection before oil pressure arrives. Fortified with zinc and graphite anti-wear additives, it lays down a tough barrier that helps prevent scuffing on cam lobes, lifters, journals and bearings—especially during those vital first start-up seconds. It’s safe on white-metal bearings and contains inhibitors to help resist rust and oxidation while the engine is on the stand.

Apply a light film anywhere metal meets metal during assembly—cam and crank bearings, followers, pushrod tips, rockers, bushes, gears, thrust faces and timing chains. The tacky formula stays put (won’t run off like oil) and is engineered to withstand loads beyond 200,000 psi, so it won’t shear under extreme pressure or shock. Use sparingly; it disperses into your engine oil after initial start-up. Also handy for protecting exposed valve gear on classics during storage. Tip: avoid use on pistons, as the graphite can slow the bedding-in process.
