As one of the basic tasks in vehicle maintenance it always pays to be aware of fluid levels, especially your vehicle's coolant.

Keeping your coolant topped up helps to regulate your engine temperature and will stop it from overheating, which is especially important during hot weather.

A regulated temperature helps to increase your engine's longevity and efficiency and will save you a lot of hassle.

Step By Step for Topping Up Coolant

1

Start with a visual inspection of the components in your cooling system, such as the radiator, coolant hoses, and hose clamps, to make sure these are all secure and free of leaks or coolant residue.

2

Once you are satisfied that there are no loose connections and that nothing is leaking, locate the coolant filler neck and remove the cap. You can find the location of this in your vehicle's manual.
