How To Use Lanotec Liquid Lanolin

Lubrication of hinges and fasteners is an important part of car maintenance, and it is simple task when you have the right product.

Lanotec's General Purpose Liquid Lanolin offers a quick and easy way to get the job done, with an attachable straw that allows you to get into tight spaces.

There are a few things to keep in mind when lubricating automotive components though, so follow the steps below and do the job right.

Step By Step for Replacing a Gas Strut

1

Identify the component that requires lubrication. Squeaking, grinding, and stiffness are often indications that components require lubrication, however there are many components you shouldn’t lubricate, such as electrical connections, brake components (without specific lubricants) and serpentine, timing, and drive belts. Lubrication of these components can cause damage and ultimately, failure.

Once you have identified the component, apply the Liquid Lanolin to the surface and ensure you lubricate it completely. If you have a straw connection for your Lanotec product, use it to get into tight spots.

Apply a second layer if the surface seems to not be entirely lubricated or wipe away excess if you have over lubricated.
