How To Change Your Windscreen Wiper Blades
Repco | 18th July 2023 | 2 minutes to read
Tired of the rhythmic squeaking of your wiper blades rubbing against the windscreen? It might be time to change your wiper blades.
Not only is the constant noise of a busted wiper blade an annoyance and distraction while driving, having dirt and dust that your faulty wipers can't remove can actually be dangerous, as reduced visibility could cause you to see road hazards late and get into avoidable accidents.
Changing your wiper blades is a fairly simple process that generally doesn't require any tools and can be completed in minutes.
Step By Step for Changing Your Wiper Blades
Measure your windscreen wipers as certain vehicles will have a long wiper and a short one.
Make sure you're putting the correct sized wiper on the correct side of the windscreen.
Unclasp and slide off the old windscreen wiper assembly.
Pop open the clasp on the new windscreen wiper and slide it onto the wiper assembly.
Push it up to lock it into place and then push the clasp down until it clicks.
Once the wiper is on, remove the plastic blade guard from the wiper if it has one.
Repeat this process for both wiper blades.
