Product Details
The oxygen sensor, sometimes known as a O2 or lambda sensor, is an electrical device that measures the proportion of oxygen (O2) in the vehicle exhaust gas.Located in the vehicle exhaust manifold or exhaust pipe, the O2 sensor converts measured exhaust gas oxygen levels into an electrical output voltage required by the ECU to accurately control air/fuel delivery.Common symptoms of a faulty, worn or inoperable O2 sensor may include illumination of the engine check light, poor fuel consumption, fuel delivery problems, engine knock, poor engine performance, hesitation or stumble during acceleration or difficult starting, engine cut out, increased fuel consumption and increased exhaust emissions. The oxygen sensor is an integral part of the vehicle engine management system, located in the vehicle inlet manifold or throttle body assembly.
