Keep your car running smoothly by fitting a quality GOSS EGR valve
Losing power when you take off from the lights? Weekly fuel bill going up whilst doing the same trips? These are just some of the issues faced with a faulty EGR valve and left unchecked can often lead to more costly damage and larger repair bills. By diagnosing and fitting a new EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) valve you will regain the smoother idling, increased performance and lower fuel bills you can expect from having an engine running in peak condition
In the quest for both greater performance and a cleaner environment vehicle manufacturers are required to recirculate small amounts of exhaust gases back into the combustion chambers of the engine. This is done to decrease the combustion temperature, to reduce the formation of emission but also to dilute the air / fuel mixture to burn more slowly. So if you have a faulty EGR valve, emissions will go up, and you run the risk of overheating and damaging the engine, it could also cause the pistons to expand, or seize, due to higher temperatures. Whilst not as much of an issue in older cars with lower compression, modern vehicles now have tighter tolerances and the risk of running hot, and causing predetonation, could destroy pistons and other engine components. EGR valves that become stuck 'open' or 'closed' due to a build-up of soot particles, carbon deposits and dirt from fuel also lead to rougher idling and stalling, decreased fuel efficiency and reduction in engine power. By replacing a faulty EGR valve with a quality GOSS EGR valve you can reinstate the true performance and economy of your vehicle whilst at the same time helping the environment.
