Flashlube has been around since 1995 and was developed by a CSIRO scientist in Melbourne. With the lead taken out of petrol their existed a need to better lubricate the valve seats in engines. When LPG was used as a cheap fuel alternative, lubricating valve seats became even more critical. The switch to low sulphur diesel fuel again bought lubricating valve seats to the fore. The problem with older style heads is they didn't have hardened valve seats, so old fuels used lead to help lubricate them and stop premature wear.
Flashlube Valve Saver Fluid is designed to lubricate valves and their valve seats so they last and do not wear out prematurely. Just 50ml mixed with 50 litres of petrol is enough to look after things. If you have an older vehicle with cast iron cylinder heads, using todays fuel or gas, then this is a product you should look at using.
Product Range from Flashlube
Flashlube make a range of additives besides Valve Saver Fluid. Their Diesel Fuel Conditioner which keeps the fuel system and injectors clean and extends fuel storage life as well as lubricates and reduces smoke and harmful emissions. Diesel Winter Fuel Formula reduces the likely hood of diesel fuel freezing or turning to jelly in really cold climates. They also do a range of oil catch cans to stop oil vapour clogging the air intakes on turbocharged engines. Called Catch Can Pro they come as a kit and are vehicle specific so are easy to install. These are only some of the products they have.
