What Happened To The C10?

C10 Ute In Doubt For Bathurst After Filming Crash

The famous Chev C10 ute is in doubt for October’s Repco Bathurst 1000 following a filmset bungle.

The custom V8 pick-up, which headlines Repco’s on-track drift displays in the hands of Showtime’s Gary Reid, suffered an unexpected facelift at the hands of a VIP guest driver during filming of Repco’s latest Bringin’ the Bathurst TV commercial, which drops on Wednesday 9 September.

“He might be a star to his fans but he clearly had stars in his eyes when mashed the throttle,” stated a source close to Repco and Showtime.

““As he walked away I said ‘What about the car?!’ and all he said back was ‘What about me?! It isn’t fair!’”

Repco confirmed the driver and his ability to Shine were unharmed. The Repco C10, on the other hand... all will be revealed when the 2026 Bringin' the Bathurst TV ad (and more) goes live on Wednesday.
