One of the added benefits of using a cambuckle strap over a ratchet strap is that they are tightened by using only your hand strength. This helps to prevent your cargo from becoming overtightened as well as securing cargo that is much more fragile, sensitive or is easily crushed. Whilst you would use a ratchet strap in most areas where tension is not an issue, a cambuckle strap would work perfectly for lightweight cargo options such as holding boxes, securing canoes, standup paddle boards or eskies on roofs.
