Tow Bar Vehicle Wiring Harnesses - Powering up trailers
Besides installing a towbar, you need to make sure the trailers electrics are working before towing. When I say trailer, I mean trailer, caravan or boat trailer. The wiring harness kits make sure the trailer lights mimic the vehicle lights as well as providing power for electric brakes and any other accessories you need to run on your trailer.
Vehicle Specific Harnesses
These harnesses are designed to fit certain vehicle brands and models. Usually they will plug into existing vehicle wiring looms making it really easy to install them. You then simply need to run the cable and mount the plug on or near the towbar.
Universal Vehicle Harness
The universal ones are more of a challenge. They are designed to adapt to various vehicles so a little bit of wiring knowledge is a bonus when installing one of these harnesses. You still need to run the cable and mount the plug on or near the tow bar.
